Antioxidant & Nourishing Evidence: Supportive

Ingredient overview

What is Moringa?

Moringa oleifera is a botanical used in food, traditional medicine and cosmetics. Skincare may use leaf extract, seed extract or moringa seed oil, which contain different mixtures of phenolics, fatty acids and other compounds.

A small human study of a 3% moringa-leaf-extract cream reported improvements in several facial texture measures over three months, while laboratory work supports antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potential. The evidence is encouraging but too limited to treat moringa as a proven anti-aging active.
