Ingredient overview

What is Zinc PCA?

Zinc PCA combines zinc with pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, a component related to natural moisturizing factor. It is used in oily and blemish-focused skincare for sebum-balance, conditioning and antimicrobial-support positioning.

Zinc has biologic relevance in inflammation and acne, but evidence for a specific cosmetic Zinc PCA product should not be inferred from oral zinc studies or unrelated zinc salts. Its role in skincare is best treated as supportive rather than a replacement for established acne treatments.
